Tanin Boka is a researcher working on soft robotics, assistive systems and biomechanics, with a focus on the design, fabrication, modeling and control of soft assistive gloves and robotic arms for upper-limb rehabilitation. They previously worked in the ARAS Laboratory at K. N. Toosi University of Technology in Tehran under the supervision of Prof. Ali Akbar Moosavian, graduating with a 4.0/4.0 GPA.

Their published work spans machine-learning-based grasp strength recognition and the design of pneumatic soft robotic gloves. The first study collected sEMG signals from healthy hands using a MYO armband and analysed the preprocessed data with a range of machine learning algorithms; the second fabricated 3D-printed pneumatic actuators and developed their control. They are currently working on a project linking EMG signals to that soft-glove research.
